Objective:
Smith and Noble wanted to increase sales of their design packages, which include easy-to-coordinate window treatments. They wanted to make it super-simple for people to select eye-catching combinations and take the guesswork out of the ordering process.
Solution:
We divided the ordering flow into 4 easy steps, with each step clearly labeled within the process so people don’t get lost. The color and material selector features on-the-fly image swapping so people can quickly experiment with a variety of style combinations.
My Role:
Working with Vendaria, I designed the basic structure and flow through several iterations of wireframe diagrams. I also fully designed the layout of the selector. Several key design elements of this selector also influenced the design and layout of the print catalog.

The Intuit QuickBooks marketing team wanted to create an interactive product selector to help small businesses zero in quickly on the right QuickBooks products.
Solution:
We helped make sense of the various product families from a user-need-based perspective, rather than a feature perspective. This allowed us to pinpoint exactly which products would work best for each user. The product selector takes the user through a linear process which reflects the way people think about their business.
My Role:
This project covered a wide range of involvement on my part, starting with initial scoping, and ending with development. Working with the stellar team at Vendaria Media, I participated in interviews with Intuit telesales representatives to better understand QuickBooks users and products. Next, I put together user experience flows, wireframes, and designed the look and feel of the selector. In addition, I developed the interactive experience in Flash. Several months later, Intuit approached us again about creating a mobile version of the selector, which I also designed.
