Go Jerry!

Seattle Repertory Theatre just launched a mini-site that I developed for their Go Jerry campaign. The goal was to provide a clever way to get people familiar with Jerry Manning, their new artistic director. This was a totally fun project, and my first site done entirely as a side-scroller. Two projects launch

This spring I helped Children’s Home Society, and their partner, Burst for Prosperity come up with a website that conveyed the fascinating work they are doing to eliminate poverty in Washington State. Working with esteemed writer Annika Hipple, we showcased the stories of seven people who are benefiting from Burst’s numerous strategic initiatives. Take a look

In addition, I helped Community Physical Therapy, a small practice in NYC achieve its very first website, using WordPress. See it now

New Buildings Institute live

Working with FuseIQ, I helped New Buildings Institute plan, design, and produce their new website. I was inspired by the excellent photography they provided, which contained some beautiful details of common construction materials. Take a look

Seattle BioMed is live

This Seattle organization is leading the world in research that will lead to vaccines for HIV, Malaria, Tuberculosis and others. Along with FuseIQ, I helped transition their new visual brand to a content-managed site that empowers them to let their site grow in a controlled way. The design goal was to capture the expertise and passion of Seattle BioMed, and to draw attention to the urgency of their work. I particularly enjoyed working with the vivid images of microsopic subjects. See more

Flash Design for Quick Turnaround

Tier 3 just launched a home page banner that I designed, animated, and built in just a couple of days for Live Area Labs. It allowed me a chance to use some cool randomness in the animation which I sequenced with TweenMax. All the text is dynamic and updateable in the HTML page code. I also designed the subpage which features the same banner with the potential for different data in the animation. Check it out

PAN launched

A recent project I worked on with FuseIQ just launched: Parkinson’s Action Network. We redesigned their site to give them a stronger content management system, as well as a more consistent brand treatment. Take a look.

Snowed In

Just helped Vendaria update their latest snow thrower comparison tool for Home Depot. I made sure the data for 20 new products was incorporated correctly into Flash, and got to learn all about powerful 11″ serrated augers. Check it out.

Zune.net launched

During spring and summer of 2009, I was involved in the redesign of the Microsoft Zune website to integrate more social features. I helped transition the content of the old site into the updated brand experience, building layouts, user flows, specifications and style guides. In plain English, I helped update the look and feel of many pages on this music and entertainment website. Check it out! (note: parts of the site require Silverlight)

Continuous Energy Improvement

Just launched a new website for the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, who runs a special site that provides tools to businesses who want to become more energy efficient. In addition to giving their existing site a facelift, I created a visualization of their process using an interactive, animated graph. It’s like a cross between a Venn diagram, a pie chart, and a ferris wheel.

2009

Wondering what’s going on at Naomi Davidson Design? Just finished up 8 weeks of circus classes, and am ready to test my new skills in the workplace: Juggling multiple projects, walking the tightrope of usability vs. marketing goals, and staying on top of it just like on the rolling globe. You might also find me working on a geneaology website, a website for the Northwest Energy Alliance, and a new social networking site for people working to create global change.

The Spa at Pro Sports Club

This was a fairly small project for The Spa, where I created the animated Flash banners for each site section. FuseIQ did the site build. Ahhh. I think I need a massage. Take a look.

Melanie Blair Photography website launched

Just launched this website for Seattle photographer Melanie Blair. Melanie wanted to completely redesign her old site to reflect a more open, modern feel, and allow for easy future updates. I worked with her to craft a site that lets the imagery speak for itself, and is easy to update through the intuitive interface of Slideshow Pro. Take a look.

think live

Just launched a site for a Seattle architectural firm called “think.” The company’s main expertise is in the field of hospitality and destination design. I led the design-production-build effort for this project and produced several exciting interactive elements: a 3D globe with dynamic geolocation, and a 3D Wall of the company’s projects. Check it out.

Mid Columbia Library

About a year ago I designed the Information Architecture for this public library system in eastern Washington. The site has now launched, with development by FuseIQ and design by BeingDesign.
